Postoperative & Recovery Care
At My Homecare Haringey, we provide practical and reassuring support for people returning home after surgery or a hospital stay. Our carers can assist with personal care, mobility, meals, medication routines and everyday household tasks, helping clients feel safer and more comfortable while they regain strength and independence.
Recovery can look very different from one person to another, and support needs may change considerably during the first days and weeks at home. Our team takes time to understand the individual’s discharge plan, mobility and daily routine, providing the right level of assistance without taking over tasks they can safely manage themselves.
Where appropriate, our carers can work alongside families, hospital discharge teams, GPs, district nurses and physiotherapists already involved in the person’s recovery. Care can be adjusted as strength and confidence improve, and where circumstances allow, support can often be arranged within 24–48 hours when someone needs help returning home.

My Homecare Haringey provides postoperative and recovery care on a flexible basis:
Visit times and schedules arranged around the person’s recovery plan and day-to-day needs
Regular visits from one to five times a day, with a minimum visit length of 45–60 minutes
Support with personal care, meals, medication routines and safe movement around the home
Overnight care and sleep-in support when additional help or reassurance is needed during recovery
Short-term and respite care, helping families manage the period following surgery or hospital discharge
Flexible support that can be reduced or adjusted as strength, mobility and independence improve
